Description

Introducing Cottage Industry Fingerless Gloves (Medium Cuff). Knitted from an Angora / Lambswool blend yarn in a local Fitzroy Studio using a computerised Japanese whole garment machine to minimise wastage. These gloves are batch dyed in extremely small runs. They are soft and warm and will be the perfect accompaniment to your winter wardrobe.

The yarn is spun by Woolyarns NZ, who have spun this yarn for 15 years. The Angora used in this yarn is harvested by brushing or combing only as the rabbits are self-shedding.

Please note that gentle pilling and wear may occur over time, as is natural with angora and lambswool fibres. We see this as part of the character and charm of the piece.

Knitted in Fitzroy, Australia

Fingerless gloves

The gloves are lovely and soft, but I’m actually quite disappointed in how much the yarn has been pilling. Angora and lambswool is possibly not the ideal combination for gloves which naturally will be exposed to more friction than a beanie, for example. There are always some small strains near the top of the finger holes that appear a little loose. It’s made me worried about the longevity when I’ve spent a decent amount of money on them. The gloves would probably benefit from some more product testing in the future.

Hi Taiga,
Thank you so much for the feedback - it is very valuable to us. As this is a natural wool product, some pilling will always occur. They are very easy to de-pill and we are always happy to do this for you at a Kuwaii store. We'll be in touch very soon via email as well to help you with your pair.
Kindest, Kuwaii x

The perfect gloves for Winter

I am so glad I managed to get these gloves the second time around. The wool is so soft and warm, the long cuff is perfect and means no annoying riding up or weird gap between tops and the gloves. If you are on the hunt for fingerless gloves, these are the ones to get! I thought the pink might be too bright for me to wear on a daily basis but the colour is honestly kind of perfect. 11/10 chefs kiss!

Hi Chelsea! Thank you so much for taking the time to review our Cottage Industry Fingerless Gloves again! We are thrilled to hear that you love them so much you bought a second pair! Stay warm xx

These beautiful gloves are worth every cent. The longer cuff sits under all long sleeved tops or jackets so no cold or rain can sneak up your arm, the wool is so soft and the colour is divine!
