The Ara Top is an incredibly special and elegant piece that takes its inspiration from classic 90s silhouettes. Featuring a sculptural neckline, this style will easily elevate any outfit – and you'll not only look but also feel amazing with this luxurious cotton blend velour fabric. Our Designer Kristy looked back to the early 90s for our colour palette and styling inspiration this season, and The Ara Top is the perfect example of this.

This fabric is a velour, and it’s an incredibly soft, plush textile which is very similar to velvet. It’s characterised by a wonderfully soft finish, with cut fibres that follow the stroke of your hand, and it drapes effortlessly. Velour and velvet are very similar and are commonly confused for the same material, however the production process is quite different. When weaving velour, the yarns are knitted into loops to make a pile weave, as opposed to velvet which is a woven fabric. We absolutely love the rich texture, the lustre, the depth of colour and the softness of this fabric. It’s 5% elastane (lycra) stretch means that it fits amazingly and is very comfortable. We know you’ll love it as much as we do!
